Oil Change
Your vehicle relies on oil to keep it running smoothly. Every three months or 3,000 miles, your vehicle should have its oil changed. Even if you don't drive often, the engine oil could get contaminated as a result of accumulated moisture or contaminants getting into the oil. Proper oil maintenance can extend the the life of your vehicle.
What to expect when we change your oil.
During our oil service all of the engine's oil is replaced, along with the oil filter. All vital under the hood fluids are checked and topped off. At this point we will also check your vehicle's air filter, wiper blades and tire pressure. Our service technician will place a "next service" sticker on your windshield. Before sending you on your way, our certified technician will discuss any issues found while servicing your vehicle.
4 reasons to keep up with oil changes:
Removes engine gunk: When you drain the oil from your vehicles engine it removes all the gunk that has made its way into the oil. An abundance of contaminants turns the oil into sludge. This sludge is hard on the pistons.
Replace the oil filter: As mentioned above, the contaminants that are cycled through the engine are sent through the oil filter. This filter becomes clogged and makes it hard for the oil to properly flow through the engine.
Ensures proper lubrication: One of the main reasons to change your oil regularly is so that all of the moving parts of the engine are properly lubricated. Without proper lubrication the engine can suffer massive engine damage.
Mechanical check-up: Often when a mechanical technician is changing the oil, they will take the opportunity to take a look at other mechanical components under the hood, and take note of other services needed.
